Fred Westergaard
Fred was born March 14, 1899 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
He married Beatrice Knight of Irvington, Nebraska on March 14, 1923.
They made their home briefly in Irvington, later moving to a farm in the Maney district south of Blair, Nebraska.
In 1955 they moved back to Irvington where they have resided ever since.
Funeral services for Fred Westergaard, who died at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha January 7, 1986 were held January 10, at Kremer Funeral Home in Omaha.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Harriet, Craig, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Evelyn of Omaha; five grandchildren, Cheryl King, Crockett, California; Chris, Valley, Nebraska; Dennis, Eugene and Wayne all of Craig, Nebraska; five great-grandchildren; Sigrid, Natalie, and Russel of Valley, Nebraska and Kelsey and Alex of Craig; one sister, Dorothy of Omaha.
One son, Russell preceded him in death in 1970.
Burial was in Springwell Cemetery in Omaha.
