Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie "Greta" (Cook) Shoeman, 87, of Waukee, Iowa will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Fisher Funeral Home in Adel. Mrs. Shoeman died Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. The body will be cremated.
Mamie Greta (Cook) Shoeman, was born November 28, 1890, the daughter of Charles Campbell and Ivy Elizabeth (Mullins) Cook, in Adel, Iowa. She lived in Waukee, Iowa most of her life.
She was united in marriage to Robert Martin Shoeman on February 28, 1909, and to this union four children were born: John B., Martha M., Gordon C., and Mary K. She was preceded in death by her daughter Martha in 1974 and her husband, Robert in 1978.
Survivors include two sons, John B. Shoeman of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Gordon C. Shoeman of Madrid, Iowa; a daughter, Mary K. Schamerhorn of Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
