Moultonborough - Virginia L. Davis, 87, of Plymouth, MA formerly long time resident of Moultonborough and Laconia, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth MA. Virginia was born June 7, 1927 in Laconia, daughter of the late Edward L. Davis and Clara (Guerin) Davis.

Virginia was formerly employed at the Meredith Bank & Trust and was secretary to the President and the Bank Board. Before that she worked as a secretary at Scott and Williams for many years. As a young woman Virginia worked at the Colonial Theater in Laconia, NH in a management capacity and also worked in management at the Gardens Theater in Laconia, NH. She loved reading, cooking, antiquing and enjoyed writing in her diary and above all spending time with friends and family.

Virginia is survived by a son Alan and his wife Karen, of Plymouth, MA, two daughters, Kathleen Aldrich and her husband Norman, of Gilford and Patrice Davis and her husband Reverend Roger Davis of Brewer, Maine, seven grandchildren; Kimberly Duell, Jeffrey Davis, Hillary Damon, Sarah Sedgley, Naomi Wise, Jared Davis and Kelli Aldrich; 6 great-grandchildren and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Leo E. Davis in 2002 and a brother Paul Davis.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Noon at St. Andre Bessette Parish – St. Joseph’s Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia.

Burial will be held in the Spring at St. Lambert Cemetery in Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakes Region Hospital Oncology Department, 80 Highland Street, Laconia N.H.
