Louis H. Godsil
Rosary will begin at 7 tonight at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Louis H. Godsil, 91, who died in Vancouver Wednesday, July 28, 1999. A funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Godsil was born Jan. 24, 1908, in Galesburg, Ill., and lived in Clark County the past 33 years.
He owned A&L Upholstery and retired in 1975. He also worked in a lumber mill.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Aileen, at home; three daughters, Sandra Miller of Graham, N.C., Marsha Grimm of Ferndale, Wash., and Alanna Nevenner of Vancouver; four sons, Paul of Yakima, William of Bluffs, Ill., and Dennis and Kevin, both of Vancouver; one brother, Kevin of Galesburg; 26 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Godsil was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed photography, reading, music and traveling.
