Mazie Louise Paul, 93, of Ocilla, died Friday, February 13, 2015 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Henderson Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County with Elder Edward McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Saturday evening at The Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Paul was born in Ocilla on August 27, 1921, to the late Albert and Ada Padgett Benson. She lived in the community all of her life. She was a former spinner for Modern Fibers and was a homemaker. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a member of Ocilla Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Jud Pusey of Ocilla, Ronnie & Brenda Pusey of Leesburg, Brenda & Larry Massey of Tifton, and Larry & Linda Hutto of Ocilla; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild, Ali Grace Parrott; and a sister, Nora Morrison of Albany. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Harper; three sisters; and an infant brother.
