James Mack Parks, age 68, of Parrottsville, passed away peacefully Friday, February 13, 2015 at his home.
He was a member of the Parrottsville United Methodist Church and a farmer all his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ada Balch Parks; and sister-in-law, Lynn Parks.
He is survived by his brothers, Jack Parks of Johnson City, Edgar (Carolyn) Parks of Newport, Johnny (Peggy) Parks of Parrottsville; sisters Mary (Freddie) Roach of Rutledge and Minnie Parks of the home; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Manes Funeral Home with Rev. Don Jones officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home prior to funeral service.
