Local Couple’s Son Car Accident Victim
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Congregational church for Joe Kauffman, 41, who was killed Saturday afternoon in an automobile wreck south of Wiggins. Kauffman, whose home was on a ranch near Keenesburg, was born in McCook, Neb. He moved to Keenesburg 9 ½ years ago from Berthoud.
Mr. Kauffman is survived by his wife, Lydia, and three daughters, Geraldine, Carol and Jane, of Keenesburg; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Kauffman of 1265 Garfield; five sisters, Mrs. John Greenwald and Mrs. George Gottoes of Denver; Mrs. Harold Winters of Toppish, Wash., Mrs. Sam Shaffer of Berthoud, and Mrs. Lyle Shotwell of Laramie, Wyo.; three brothers, Elmer Kauffman of Mead, Raymond Kauffman of Keenesburg and Harold Kauffman of Loveland.
The Rev Will Strauch and the Rev. A. Brenning will officiate at the services with Kibbey Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
