"MRS. A. LEWIS IS QUIETLY LAID TO REST // Mrs. Angeline LEWIS died at her home No. 715 Front street early Sunday morning after an illness of nine months. She is survived by six children, Mr. Charley HARRIS of Apalachicola, Fla.; Mr. W. F. LEWIS of Columbus; Mrs. Sallie STATHAM, Miss Emma LEWIS, Miss Dink LEWIS, all of Columbus, and Mr. John LEWIS, of near Salem, Ala. Also one sister, Mrs. M. O. EVERAGE, of Columbus. She was 60 years of age and a consistent member of the M[ethodist] E[piscopal] church. The funeral took place from the house at 10 o'clock this morning, conducted by Rev. W. H. SMITH, the interment being at Girard cemetery. The following gentlemen acted as pall bearers: Messrs. P. J. WILLIAMS, Jas. CRAN[E?], W. L. ORANGE, F. J. JACKSON, J. T. JACKSON and H. A. CARMACK."
