Ellen M. Bronson, age 88, of Painted Post, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at Absolut Care of Three Rivers. Ellen was born September 5, 1925 in Lindley, NY. She was the daughter of the late Lewis W. and Mabel E. (Woodcook) Titus. She married Daniel W. Bronson on November 23, 1946 in Lindley, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel, on November 28, 2012 after 66 years of marriage. Ellen was a devoted wife, dedicated to her family, and cherished the many friends she made during her lifetime. Ellen was a graduate of Painted Post High School. Following high school she worked for Corning Glass Works where she was a dedicated employee. She worked in several departments, retiring from Central Stores in 1984 with 32 years of service. She was a member of The United Methodist Church of Painted Post.
Ellen was predeceased by her brother, Ammon Titus. Calling hours will be Monday, April 28, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning, NY. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Jeffrey Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Rural Home Cemetery, Big Flats, NY.
