George was the first born son of Finley and Julia Crouch Allison. He was only a lad 18 years of age when he died in NC [sic] as a soldier in the Confederate Army. Upon news of his death his widowed mother, Julia, immediately left by wagon to bring her son's body home. George was laid to rest beside his little sister Ellen.
