From the "Columbus Daily Advocate", Oct. 9, 1935: "Alice Lydia Coldiron, youngest daughter of W.S. and Fanny Coldiron was born in Columbus on December 4, 1905. She attended the Columbus city schools and was graduated from the Cherokee County High School in 1922. The following fall she entered Bell Memorial Hospital as a student nurse, graduating in 1925 at the age of nineteen. For several years she was employed at her profession in Joplin, Mo., Kansas City, Mo., and Des Moines, Iowa. On November 25, 1926, she was united in marriage with Alva A. Boston of Oswego. Betty Joan Boston, now four years of age was born of this union. Mrs. Boston passed away on Sunday, October 6, 1935 at the age of 29 years, 10 months and 2 days. Surviving her in addition to her husband and Betty are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Coldion; two sisters, Mrs. George Hearrell and Mrs. Frank Meriweather; two brothers, Harley and Homer Coldiron; four nephews and three nieces and a number of other relatives. She united with the Christian Church here in 1918, later tranferring her membership to her place of residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Boston and infant are to be held at the Christian church tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. L.A. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Park cemetery by Jones-Ruhland."
