ST. PARIS - Raymond A Pitts, 75, of 5861 Ford Road, DeGraff, died Tuesday, July 3, 1990, at 10:33 p.m., at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, following a brief illness.

Born May 2, 1915, in Nashville, Wis., he was the son of the late William and Kathryn (Poole) Pitts.

He married Thelma Lucille Lowe on Aug 17, 1937.

He was a retired employee of Copeland Corp. of Sidney.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Donald Pitts of Lakeview; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Wilma) Heistermann of Sidney and Mrs. Jordan (Margaret) Ritchie of DeGraff; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Russell Pitts of St. Paris, Beckham Pitts of Quincy, and Anuil Pitts of Memphis, Ohio; two sisters, Julia Cutler of St. Paris and Nellie Canter of Sandusky.

He was preceded in death by two sons, James and Robert; three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Richeson-Wickham-Atkins Funeral Home, St. Paris, with the Rev. Gilbert Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Conover.

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
