Carol Karp, 69, of Eugene, died April 27 from cancer.

She was born Oct. 11, 1936, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Raymond and Edith Ludi.

She married Anthony "Tony" Karp in Nevada. They later divorced.

She earned a bachelor's degree and worked in the accounts receivable department at the University of Oregon for more than 20 years.

She enjoyed camping, attending church, cooking and watching cooking shows. She loved animals, especially cats.

She was a member of the Santa Clara Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Eugene.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Tandy and Bruce Curtis of Eugene; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Dana Karp of Clarksville, Tenn.; one sister, DeAnne Crank of Bakersville, Calif; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building at 550 North Danebo Ave. in Eugene. Interment will follow at Comstock Cemetery in Curtin. Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society at 2350 Oakmont, Suite 200, Eugene, 97401.
