Peter "Pete" Stefura, 78, of Koppel, died Thursday, June 5, 1997, in the Butler Veteran's Hospital. Born June 29, 1918, in Butler, a son of the late John and Sophie Kwasnicki Stefura, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a retired steelworker from the East Works of the Babcock & Wilcox Co., Beaver Falls. He was a member of the Ellwood City Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma Ann Leavens Stefura; his second wife, Florence Wiley Stefura; a stepson, Tom Hooks, and two infant brothers. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, John and Donna Stefura, Koppel; Peter "Randy" and Gail Stefura, Zelienople, and Stephen Stefura, Koppel; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Davis, Wampum; four brothers, John Stefura, Wampum; Metro "Mickey" Stefura, Koppel; Paul Stefura, Wampum, and Joseph "Joe" STefura, Wampum; two sisters, Mary Stefura, Brighton township and Sophie Armstrong, Koppel; 10 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. A service will be conducted today at 11 a.m. in the LUTTON KOPPEL FUNERAL HOME, 3500 Third Ave. The Rev. Perry D. Brest, of the Ellwood City Church of the Nazarene, will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery, Big Beaver. Full military honors will be provided by the Beaver County Special Unit. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the Ellwood City Church of the Nazarene, 308 Duncan Ave., Ellport, Pa. 16117.
