Marian, 78, passed away at The Gables of Ammon Assisted Living Center under the care of her family and Encompass Home Health and Hospice. Born in a one-room log house in Buck to Alfred Moore and Lucille Finn, she graduated from Ririe High School. On June 30, 1954, she married Spencer Byington; they had Merri Ann and Jeffrey before they were divorced in 1959. In 1962, she married Jack Melvin Pfeiffer, and they were blessed with Buzz, Susan and Tom. She lived in Kanab, UT and Las Vegas, NV before returning to Idaho Falls. She worked as a surgical aide at Sacred Heart Hospital in Idaho Falls, as a school nurse in Las Vegas, and as a bookkeeper. She also completed several counseling classes at Las Vegas Community College and volunteered as a drug counselor. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing cards, bingo, bowling, and spending time with family. Survivors included: children Jeffrey (Lisa) Byington of Hawkins, TX, Buzz Pfeiffer of Idaho Falls, Susan Pfeiffer (Troy) Taylor of Idaho Falls, and Tom (Jana) Pfeiffer of Idaho Falls; brothers Willard A. Moore and John (Rose) Moore, both of Ririe; and sisters Margaret Pollak of Anaheim, CA, and Julia (Scott) Randall of Grant; and 15 grandchildren. Preceding included her parents, daughter Merri Ann Byington Brower, son-in-law Kenny Brower, and grandson Ricky Brower. Funeral Services held February 4 at Wood Funeral Home East, 963 S. Ammon Road. Her family extended special thanks to Encompass Home Health & Hospice (especially Tonya Garz, Marian's home health nurse for over 6 years), doctors and staff at Rocky Mountain Diabetes and Osteoporosis Center, and staff and residents of The Gables.
