Donald Rex "Jake" Jaqua Sr. Son of Rennie Lee and Nora H. Bundock Jaqua. Born in San Francisco Ca. 25, Jan. 1898. He married Sara Blanche Attix at Van Nuys Ca. 18, Jan. 1920.
She died December 10, 1989. Donald Jaqua was one of five Antelope Valley men Who formed a corporation that created the A.V. fair as it is today. Jaqua became the first manager of the 50th District Agricultural Association an agency of the state Division of fairs and Expositions. He also served as a fair director from 1941 to 1948 and from 1952 to 1959. Donald Jaqua has been referred to as the father of the Antelope Valley Fair.
Donald along with his two sons Don Jaqua Jr. and Sheldon Jaqua, stared Jaqua and Sons Concrete block and Building Material plant in Lancaster, Ca. the company is in operation today.
