Funeral services for Donald Day, 83, will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Pastors Roger Johnson & Byron Boykin officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery near Marion, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Day, a retired pipe liner & mechanic with International Union Operator Engineer Local 302, went to his heavenly home January 28, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Union Parish and a member of First Baptist Church in Marion.

Preceding him in death were his parents Charles Robert and Stella Craven Day; 1 brother Roy Glendon Day; 4 sisters, Audrey Bennett, Ruth Ward, Najarta Williams & Robbie Graves; 2 sons, Richard Scott Day & Jimmy Glenn Day and 2 grandsons, Robbie Day & Jordan Day.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Donnie & Beverly Day of Endicott, Neb., Roger & Charlotte Day of Monroe, Jerry Day of Jonesborough, Tn., Jeff Day and Kevin Day of Boaz, Al.; 2 daughters, Brenda & Jimmy Rosson of Farmerville, Sandy Harris & Ken Miller of Hebert, La.; 1 Daughter-in-law, Paula Day of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 1 niece, Freddie Telles of Ruston; 1 nephew, Larry Graves of Ruston. 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation is 5:00-8:00pm Friday at Farrar Funeral Home
