International Banker. He was the son of financier Anthony J. Drexel. He was the first treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Drexel Institute of Technology. He entered into an unhappy marriage with Margarita Armstrong. Because of the unpleasantness of the divorce, he lived most of the rest of his life in France and England. They had several children: Anthony, Jr., Margaretta, John Armstrong, and Louis. Among his friends was King Edward VII of England.
