Melva Olivia Boyle Dutton, devoted wife, mother, and sister, passed away on January 26, 2015 at the age of 95. The daughter of the late William Clyde Boyle and Susan Romedy Boyle, she was born on December 11, 1919, and was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville.

She attended local schools, and was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School, Class of 1938. Melva was a long-time member of Southside United Methodist Church where she taught an adult Sunday school class for many years.

Melva was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 65 years, Arthur W. Dutton and her brother, Frank H. Boyle. She is survived by her daughter, Suzann Dutton, and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, January 30, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Boulevard. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Melva's daughter wishes to thank the staff at Taylor Care Center for their kind and gentle treatment of Melva during her final years, as well as the staff of Northeast Florida Community Hospice for their compassionate care.
