JARRETT, Robert J. "Bobby Joe", 82, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. Born December 2, 1932 in Tulsa, OK to Cecil Richard and Jewel (Pullen) Jarrett. Graduate of Tulsa Central High School class of '51. He married his elementary school sweetheart, Lucille (Roberts) Jarrett in June, 1951.
Robert served in the U. S. Army 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict. He was a Tulsa Police Department Officer from 1955-1975. Also, his two younger brothers were Tulsa Police officers, making it a family tradition. He was known as "Mr. Auto Theft" by his colleagues at the Tulsa Police Dept.
Bobby Joe was an avid fisherman, and co-owned Adair Auto Salvage & Sons. He also enjoyed OU and Cardinal baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Henry Jarrett; sisters, Nellie Ann Leland and Lois Mae Reed.
Survived by his wife, Lucille Jarrett; sons, Mike Joseph Jarrett and wife, Laura, Steve Robert Jarrett and wife, Eva, all of Catoosa, OK; daughter, Karen Sue Jarrett O'Neal and husband, Paul of Disney, OK; grandchildren, Kendra Baldwin, Brandon, Jarrett, Dillon Jarrett, Emily Jarrett, James O'Neal, Mandy Large, Jake Jarrett, and Brooke Jarrett; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-4 P.M., Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn. Service will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 5, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233.
