Billie Poe Sr. was born May 31, 1928, in Memphis, Tenn., the son of Roscoe and Clara (Manning) Poe. His siblings include Chester Poe, Hillis Poe, Jean Blasingame, all of East Prairie and Jackie Arconar of O'Fallon.
His children include Joyce Jones of Murphysboro, Paula Poe and Tonneit Poe of Texas, and Billy Ray Poe of East Prairie, Mo. He had three stepchildren: Patsy Wiggins and Carolyn Burke, both of Murphysboro and Dennie Poe of East Prairie.
Mrs. Poe died at the age of 65 at home (Murphysboro).
