Dolores Marie (Studinski) Ganski Wierzba, of Stevens Point, died at Harmony Assisted Living Center on January 1, 2015. Dolores was born in Custer WI on February 18, 1930, to Raphael and Susan (Lepak) Studinski. She attended Sacred Heart School in Polonia. She moved to Chicago in 1948, and married John Ganski the following year. They made their home in Chicago and its suburbs for the next forty years, until retiring back to Stevens Point in 1988. Dolores worked most of her adult life, becoming a beautician in her late 30s. She loved to travel, dance and listen to polka music, entertain and visit with friends and family - and her Christmas cookies will never be forgotten.

She found love again, and married Michael Wierzba in 1999; he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Linda S. Ganski of Madison ; two brothers, Rhody (Lorraine) Studinski of Stevens Point and Kenneth Studinski of Janesville; two sisters, Shirley Gavin of Eagle River, AK and Karen Dombrowski of Amherst. And she is survived by nine step- children: Eunice (Larry) Zwicki, Stevens Point; Christine (Mac) Groholski, MN; Barbara (Bob) Groholski, Custer; Kenneth (Barbara) Wierzba, Pleasant Praire; Doris Wierzba, Stevens Point; Patrick (Anne) Wierzba, Wausau; Mary (Chris) Kowal, Milwaukee; Ronald (Donna) Wierzba, Custer; Jeff (Josueh) Wierzba, CA. 20 step-grandchildren, 31 step-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great grandson. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt and uncle, and many friends, all important to her, also survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother Jack and her husband John Ganski.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dolores will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 6, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia. Rev. Gregory Michaud will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at the Shuda Funeral Chapel on Monday. A general rosary will be prayed with the Sacred Heart Rosary Society of which she is a member at 6:00 PM Monday night at the funeral home. A visitation will also be held at the church from 10:00 - 10:45 AM on Tuesday. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery beside her husband John Ganski.
