Jay W. Rhyne, Jr., age 78, of Greenback TN, went to be with his heavenly father early Saturday morning December 27th, 2014.
He passed peacefully at home. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was recently retired, after 50 years, from Alcoa Aluminum Co.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. J. Wright Rhyne, Sr. and Beulah Simpson Rhyne; and sister, Mildred Louise Rhyne.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Jean Bohanan Rhyne, formerly of Sevier County; sons and daughters in-law, Jay W. Rhyne, III and Patti Boyatt Rhyne, Joseph Scott and Greta Banther Rhyne, Jerry Lynn and Julie Lynn Reagan Rhyne; grandsons, Jonathon and Christopher Rhyne; granddaughters, Stephanie, Rachael, and Kirsten Rhyne; sister, Helen Johnsrude; and nephews, Joel, John, and Jacob Grubb.
Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Monday, December 29, 2014 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel. Family and friends will gather at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment service.
