Georgia E. Mills 1922 - 2010
Georgia E. Mills, 87 rural Raymond, South Dakota, died in the prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown March 27, 2010. She was born April 3, 1922 at home on a farm near McCracken, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Hannah (Derr) Sloan.
On July 27, 1944 she married Leonard Mills in the parsonage of the United Lutheran Brethren Church in Kansas.
While living in McCracken she worked at the grocery store.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Raymond, the Presbyterian Women and the Raymond American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include, her children, Richard "Rip" (Joan) Mills of Clark. Frank (Jaci) Mills of Crawford, Nebraska, John Mills of Clark and Sandra (Leland Johnson of DeSmet; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother Emerson Sloan of Kearney, Nebraska, and a sister-in-law, Marge Sloan of lPonca City, Oklahoma.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and siblings, Emmett Sloan, June (Vincent) Higgins and Marjorie "Jack" (Vic) Moran
