Professional Hockey Player. Also known as 'One Punch.' A native of Victoriaville, Quebec, Lemieux played the position of Left Wing. At 5'11, and 172lbs, Lemieux played for the Lachine Maroons from 1960 to 1963 (MMJHL), Hamilton Red Wings from 1963 to 1965 (OHA-Jr.), Memphis Wings from 1964 to 1967 (CPHL), Detroit Red Wings from 1966 to 1967 (NHL), Los Angeles Kings from 1967 to 1974 (NHL), New York Rangers from 1969 to 1970, and 1973 to 1974 (NHL), Springfield Kings from 1970 to 1971 (AHL), and the Buffalo Sabres from 1973 to 1974 (NHL). Lemieux retired from playing hockey in 1964. On October 24, 1975, Lemieux passed away in Montreal, Quebec, at the age of 30, after developing a blood clot in his brain.
