Ako Oren Radford, 66, 624 1/2 Lomax, a construction superintendent, died at his home Tuesday afternoon from a lingering illness.
Born October 12, 1910, at Rudy, Idaho, he was the son of Edward Thomas and Pearl Wilbur Radford. He attended Ririe schools.
He was married to Cleo Annie Morgan on June 8, 1936, in Salt Lake City. His hometown had been Idaho Falls, but while working on construction he had lived in Washington, Illinois, Iowa, Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. He had been field superintendent on construction and an accomplished millwright.
As supervisor, he overlooked construction of Eagle Rock Junior High School, the J. C. Penny's Store in Idaho Falls, the Loveland Tunnel Pall in Colorado and the missile site in Bruneau, Idaho.
A member of the LDS Church, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his widow of Idaho Falls; two daughters, Mrs. John (Vala) Morin of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mrs. Sharon Fickins of Idaho Falls; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Wood Chapel of the Pines with Bishop Orval D. Simpson officiating from the 20th LDS Ward. The family will received friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home and burial will be at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
