She graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1963, and was employed at JJ Alleman Electric Co., Capital Tristate and Rexel. She was a member of Christ Community Church, Hagerstown West End Lions Club, Board of Directors of Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry, Red Men Tribe 84, Hagerstown Moose Lodge and B.P.O. Elks Lodge 378. She also volunteered at REACH.
She is survived by her son, Clarence Koontz Jr. of Hagerstown; brothers, Robert Stoner of Chambersburg, William Stoner of Conover, NC, John Stoner of Mercersburg, Pa.; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Bussard.
A celebration of life was held at Christ Community Church (Willowbrook), 8916 Mapleville Road, Hagerstown; private interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown; arrangements were by the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown.
