MILFORD -- Albert James Manganello Sr., 85, of Milford, where he had been a resident since 1983, died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Yolanda (Iacoviello) Manganello for more than 60 years.

Born in West Pittston, Pa., he was the son of the late Raymond and Celia Manganiello.

A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was formerly of Medfield.

He was a retired silk screener for the Hewlett-Packard Corp. in Waltham with 45 years' service. Mr. Manganello had a passion for landscaping, gardening, cooking and taking long walks in the countryside.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Albert J. Manganello Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, of Medfield, and Brian A. Manganello and his wife, Deborah, of Wis., and a daughter, Rhona Peterson of New Hampshire; a sister, Carmella Aciere of New Hampshire; seven grandchildren, Albert III, Lorrie, Melissa, Jessica and Adam Manganello, and Rachael and Lauren Peterson; and one great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 12, at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 82 Exchange Street, Millis.

Burial with military honors will follow in Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, April 11, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home (www.robertsmitchell.com), 15 Miller St., Medfield, with a service conducted by Beckwith Post 110, American Legion, Medfield, at 7 p.m.
