Peter Aguirre Jr., was a Deputy for the Ventura County Sheriff's Department in California. He worked 2 years for the Police Force and died in the line of duty at age 26. Deputy Aguirre and three other Deputies were sent to investigate a family disturbance call. Upon arrival, the wife exited the house as Deputy Aguirre entered to talk to the husband. After he was inside, shots rang out. The husband ran out of the house stark naked with two guns drawn, engaging the other Deputies in a gun battle. The suspect was wounded and taken to the hospital. Deputy Aguirre's bullet-riddled body was found inside, he never had time to draw his weapon. Deputy Aguirre had multiple gunshot wounds to the body and head. The suspect in Deputy Aguirre's murder was found guilty in March of 1998, almost two years after Deputy Aguirre's death. On April 27th, 1998, the suspect was sentenced to death. He was survived by his wife Dina and daughter Gabriella.
