From John Mallory Land, Contributor #46870015 -

Son of Isaac W. & Lottie Ann Cornelia (COMER) BROOKS.

"LITTLE SON OF MR. AND MRS. BROOKS DEAD // William Joseph, the ten-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. I. W. BROOKS, died at their home in Wynnton Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The babe had been sick since its birth. // The funeral will take place from the residence Thursday morning at 9:00 o'clock. Dr. Howard W. KEY will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Patrick burying ground, about five miles east of the city." [Columbus (GA) Enquirer-Sun newspaper, Thursday, 04 AUG 1910, p. 3.]

This infant's concrete ledger is the only marked grave in a curbed lot at the north end of Row 2 in the Old Section (Section 1), with "BROOKS" on the step. His mother Lottie is probably also buried in this lot, but her grave is not marked. It is not clear why his father Isaac, who died in 1920, was buried with his family in Riverdale, rather than in this lot with his infant son.
