Mary Jane Shoemaker, age 71 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at U.T. Medical Center. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church and preceded in death by husband, Vernon Louis Shoemaker; parents, Wesley Carlton and Lelia Thompson Whitehead and sister, Carlene Spueldea. Survivors include son and daughter in law, David and Rhonda Shoemaker of Knoxville; grandchildren, Cody, Bryan, Sarah and Briana Shoemaker all of Knoxville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Fred Tipton, Elanor and Rex Webb and Judy Helton all of Maryville; brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Glenda Whitehead of Maryville; special nephew, Donald ``Donnie'' Webb of Maryville; several other nephews and nieces. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2004 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Robert Burnett officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Christian Church Cemetery for the interment service. Family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
