Graveside services for Jesse Keppel, 86, early Decatur fireman who died Monday in his home in St. Louis, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fairlawn cemetery.
Mr. Keppel was a member of the Decatur volunteer fire department as early as 1878 and later was on the paid department. He services with the same volunteer hose company as the late Fire Chief C.W. Devore.
Besides his wife, Jennie, Mr. Keppel leaves a son, Thomas and a granddaughter, Miss Mildred Entler.
