Maxine passed away on December 4, 2014 at the age of 84 years. She was born in Cherry Valley Cross County Arkansas on July 18, 1930 to the late Firse and Lealer (Hamrick) Suthrlen into a family which would include 15 brothers and sisters. She was a member of Good Shepard Christian Fellowship in Gladwin and the Michigan Country Hall of Fame. She enjoyed singing, playing music, and playing her guitar.

She is survived by her husband Lonzo Green; children, Nova June McGillis and husband Jim Muir, and Rodney Green & Karen Moore; grandchildren, Rodney David Green, Susie Shock, Danny Norris, Kenny Norris; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister; and nieces, nephews, & cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Norris.

A Life Celebration will be held at 3 PM on January 11, 2015 at Good Shepard Christian Fellowship Church, 248 Norway St. (off M-61), Gladwin Michigan. Pastor Don Smith will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Hospice of the donor’s choice.
