Evelyn Fay Lyle Robertson
Daughter of:
James Lavator Lyle and Manila Bay (Schooldraft) Lyle (who had the distinction of being the only person in the U.S. with the name Manila Bay),
She passed away at Hamilton Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Predeceased by:
Four brothers: Braudis, Herman, Claxton and Virgil Leroy Lyle; her ex-husband, Reuben C. Robertson and two sons: Charles Robertson in 1986 and Gary Robertson in 2006.
She grew up working with her family on a farm in Varnell during the great depression. In later years she worked at various carpet mills in Dalton.
She was one of God’s saints and was a good Christian woman.
Survivors:
Two sons: Travis and Terry Robertson; one daughter: Patsy Robertson Cucksee; two grandchildren: Stanton and Amanda; one brother: Ben Lyle; four great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and good friends.
Services:
Celebration of Life service was held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Travis Martin and Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating.
