Janette J. Meadows, 81, of Quicksburg, Virginia, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Greenfield of Woodstock.
She was born August 7, 1932 in Virginia, daughter of the late Leonard Washington and Louise Williams Whitmer.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Meadows whom she married October 6, 1956. She is also survived by a daughter, Jane McDaniel and her husband Walter of New Market; a son, Willie Meadows and his wife Tracy of Quicksburg; a brother, John Whitmer of Edinburg; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Bethany McDaniel.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with Rev. Louie Shafer and Rev. James D. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ron Baptie, Louie Houghingston, Mike Rinker, Mike Miller, Grayson Getz and Larry Pirtle.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was a hard worker and enjoyed her family and friends.
