WATSON, DAVID NEIL, SR. - age 66, of Seymour, went to his eternal home Wednesday, November 12, 2014, after a courageous battle with leukemia. Wanda, his wife of 47 years, and his three sons were at his side. He was a member of Knob Creek Baptist Church. He retired from the Knoxville News-Sentinel after 39 years of service doing various jobs. Mr. Watson's favorite times were those spent with his boys on the farm. David was the son of the late Frank E. and Gladys Watson. Survivors: wife, Wanda Watson; sons, David Watson, Jr. (Denise), Jimmy Watson (Cathy Gibbs), Matthew Watson (Charlotte); daughter-in-law, Kathy Watson; grandchildren, Amy (Brandon) and Amber Watson, Jimmy Watson, Jr., Kristy Nicely (James), Alyshia and Olivia Jimison, Katlyn and Jennifer Holloway; two most precious great grand-daughters, Allaura and Marlee; brothers, Hal Watson (Judy), Michael Watson (Karen); sixteen loving brothers and sisters-in-law and; many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either CROSS Ministries, Salvation Army, Feed the Children, or to Knob Creek Baptist Church. Funeral service 6:00 p.m., Saturday, in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. Terry Parton officiating. Interment 2:00 p.m., Sunday, in Knob Creek Cemetery.
