Born December 10, 1927, in East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Earl and Iva "Josie" Ward Jackson. He had worked as a molder at the McIntosh-Hemphill Co., retiring after 35 years of service. After he retired Ralph enjoyed his time with his family, going fishing, doing woodworking and cooking his own special potato salad. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy.
Ralph is survived at home by his wife, Lucille Cochran Jackson, whom he married on February 10, 1950.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery A. Jackson, Sr., a great-grandson Gunner Higgins, along with a sister Francis Adkins, and three brothers, Ken, Wayne and Earl Jackson.
Ralph is survived by two sons, Richard Jackson, and his wife Cindy, of Chester, and Curtis Jackson, and his companion Kira, of West Point. There are 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is a sister, Sondra Walker, and her husband Roger, of West Point, and a brother Ivan Jackson, and his wife Lynn, of Calcutta.
