Attorney Clarence Emil Teitgen, 89, of 1011 S. 14th St.,
died early Monday (morning at Holy Family - hard to read)
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore J. Hendricks will be officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Teitgen was born April 10, 1891, in the Town of Newton, son of the late Theodore and Mary Pleuss Teitgen. He tended the old southside high school graduating in 1909. After that he studied law under Judge Isaac Craite, until he took the bar examination on July 12, 1912, and then was admitted to the bar association. He married Gertrude Biller May 12, 1914, at Rice Lake, Wis. The couple resided there until 1918 when they moved to Manitowoc. She preceded in him death in 1921. He then married Dorothy Napiezinski Dec. 20, 1924, at Chicago. Mr. Teitgen practiced law in Manitowoc, since 1918. He was past president of Manitowoc County Bar
Association.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son and daughter-in-law, John L. and Vivian Teitgen of Mosinee; a daughter and son-in-law, Clare and Robert Marsh of New Berlin; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Elizabeth Teitgen of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Mrs. Linda Koentopp of St. Paul, Minn.; 11
grandchildren, Fredrick, Herbert and John Teitgen, Mary, Jan, Sue and Jon Teitgen, and David, Wendy, Julie and Laura Marsh; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, four brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening.
