Age: 31 years 11 months 16 days

The death of Miss Minnie M. Bartlett occurred suddenly at her home, No. 1226 Harrison street, North Topeka, last evening, of heart disease.
Miss Bartlett was the oldest daughter of Mrs. A. E. Ayers, formerly of this city, now residing in Jefferson county, and the sister of Mrs. Henry M. Steele, Mrs. E. A. Wagener and Miss Mamie, Fred and Charles Bartlett, all of this city.
All her life long she had been an invalid, and although during the past few months it became evident that she was growing weaker, yet her relatives were not prepared for the sudden change when it came. She will be sadly missed by a large circle of friends, and especially by the younger members of the family, over whom she watched with a mother’s love and care.
Topeka Daily Capital (Topeka, KS), February 19, 1892, 4:4.

The biographical sketch of Armena's stepfather, Isaac M. Ayers, notes "His coal business in Topeka is managed principally by his stepdaughter, Minnie M."
