Mrs. Adkins was a graduate of Genoa High School and attended Bowling Green State University. During World War II she served as parish secretary at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge. Marilyn was employed at the Walbridge Post Office for 23 years, serving as Postmaster for 13 years before her retirement in 1982. She was a long time member of St. Mark Lutheran Church where she enjoyed the fellowship of so many special friends. She also was a past member of the church's property board and served as church treasurer for 4 years. Marilyn was a member of the church's ELCA Women of the Church and the Esther Circle where she served as secretary. Mrs. Adkins was a member of the National League of Postmasters. Marilyn was the loving mother of Kay Ann Albright (Warren) Byington and Ellen Jean Cowles (Timothy) Mix; caring grandmother of Candace Byington, Richard (Sarah) Byington and Laurie Mix. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Orval Hartman; husband, Richard Albright and former husband, Lyle Cowles. Marilyn requested that she be remembered as she was in life, therefore there will be no services. May your private memorial be your cherished memory. Her family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements by Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home
