A. M. Wells, in his 66th year, died at his home near Lead Hill church at 9:30 p.m. January 28th, of pneumonia. Burial was in the home burying ground at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 30th. Deceased is survived by three children, Mrs. G. P. Drake, M. L. Wells and J. B. Jells, all of the Lead Hill neighborhood.

Alney McLean Wells was the son of Mosley P. and Luraney Wells. He married Elizabeth "Bettie" A. Jones on November 17, 1868 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.
