At one time he worked for Governor Livingston at Livingston Manor and his son, Peter Royal Stone was named for the Governor. John Stone had at various times hotels in Wayland and Sudbury. He finally bought a farm at Cambridge, where he and his daughter, Abigail lived after the death of his wife. He married June 25, 1778, Ann Hunt, born 1760, died October 20, 1829. Their children: 2. [8.] Peter R., married Lavinia Winship of Lexington; died May 1875, buried at Mount Auburn.
