BOOTHBAY HARBOR -- Jeannette E. Annable, 95, died on Nov. 19, 2014, at the Gregory Wing of St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor, with her loving family and caregivers by her side. Jeannette was born on Oct. 27, 1919, in Plymouth, Mass., to Vincent and Elizabeth Cavicchi Pirani.
After high school, she worked for a short time as a medical secretary. She met Albert Annable at The Bridge restaurant on Cape Cod. Jeannette and Albert got married in Macon, Ga., where Albert was stationed in the military. In the mid 1940s, Jeannette and Albert moved to Boothbay where Albert's great-aunt had purchased 200 acres on the Damariscotta River. When Jeannette's youngest child started kindergarten, she went back to her career as a medical secretary. She worked for Dr. Philip Gregory for 28 years. In 2000, they sold the riverfront home and moved to Carousel Condos. Jeannette and her family had many special memories at their riverfront homes, especially the annual clambakes for family and friends.
Jeannette enjoyed selling at the Montsweag Flea Market. She enjoyed sketching fashion, interior design, music, dancing and poetry. She also took belly dancing classes and enjoyed wearing the special outfits. She also enjoyed cats, pineapples, and loved butterflies, as they represent hope and hospitality.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert; and by her sisters, Helen and Arlene. She is survived by a son, Al Anable and his wife Joanne of Holderness, N.H., daughters, Jane Annable-Tripp and her husband Roy of Portland, and Joyce E. Faux and her husband Robert of Bourne, Mass.; grandchildren, Kate Anable of Boston, Mass., Brooke Anable of Boston, Mass., Michelle Ullo and her husband Steven of Bourne, Mass., Jacob Barton and his wife Doreen of Bourne, Mass.; great- grandchildren, Cullen, Sheehan, Rhyan, Delilah, Shea, Jadon, Liam, Bryce and Oliver; nieces and special nephew, Bernard.
