| Birth: | Nov. 13, 1833 | | Death: | Feb. 25, 1919 |  Seattle Mayor. He was a veteran of the American Civil War and was elected to fill the final two months of Mayor Corliss P. Stone's term. Mayor Stone was involved in a major political scandal embezzling over half a million dollars in present day dollars before fleeing to San Francisco with a married woman. Maddocks served as Seattle Mayor from June 5, 1873 to August 5, 1873. Maddocks replaced acting Mayor John T.
