Geraldine was united in marriage to Ralph Jesse Hood on June 12, 1938 at Willard, MO. Geraldine and Ralph were married for sixty-three years and to this union, five children were born.
Geraldine lived most of her life on their farm near Hutton Valley. She was employed as a cook at Ridgeview School for eighteen years which she loved.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, David Wayne Hood; and one sister, Vida Henry.
Survivors include one son, Ralph Edward Hood and wife, Velma of Mountain View, MO; three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Jean and Dean Daniels, and Connie Sue and Dale Daniels, all of Mountain View, MO, and Gloria Rae and Chris Deatherage of Drury, MO; seventeen grandchildren; fifty-two great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; one sister, Katheryn Evans of West Plains, MO; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Geraldine loved her grandchildren coming to visit her and she enjoyed quilting. She also played piano and was clerk at her church for many years. She was saved and was currently a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church of Hutton Valley for seventy-two years.
