Evelyn L. "Teeter" Anderson of Madera died at 88 years of age.
She was married to John Anderson in 1933 and they had 3 children – a daughter and two sons. They moved to California in 1945, and settled their roots in Dinuba. She worked in the laundry at Alta District Hospital for over 40 years before retiring.
Evelyn was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend. Her family was the most important thing in life to her. She loved to be surrounded by her family whenever the opportunity came up and could always be found in the kitchen cooking up, "a bite to eat". Her family and friends will always remember the warmth of her home and the wonderful smells coming from her kitchen, most especially around the holidays. She was a gracious and lovely woman who never met a stranger. She had a great love for the Lord and unshakable faith that saw her through many trials and difficult times in her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Elise Anderson McKay of Madera; a brother, Utah Emery of Florida; two sisters, Audrey Simpson of Arkansas and Bobbie Maxwell of Mississippi; five grandchildren, Mike Anderson, Keith Anderson, Russell McKay, Tara White and Paul Anderson; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She is preceded by her husband, John Anderson and two sons, Paul Anderson and Kenneth Anderson.
