Coleman McDonough was a City Policeman for Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He worked 17 years for the Police Force and died in the line of duty at age 54. When Patrolman McDonough responded to a home with other Officers in which a father was in an argument with his daughter and her boyfriend, the father opened fire with a .22 caliber rifle. He shot Officer McDonough 6 times, killing him...and wounding two other Officers. The suspect fled the scene and committed suicide in a nearby field. One of Patrolman McDonoughs son's later became a Pennsylvania State Trooper. Officer McDonough had graduated from St. Thomas High School in Braddock, Pensylvania. He also played Football for the Pittsburg Steelers and Chicago Cardinals.
