Dewey Wallis, 82, of Sandwich, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006 at Valley West Community Hospital, Sandwich. He was born on May 8, 1923 in Sandwich, to the late Robert and Ora Wallis.
He served his country during WWII in the Merchant Marines and was a brick layer. He married Beth Ackerman on August 4, 1944 in Hinckley.
He is survived by his wife, Beth of Sandwich; his son, Thomas (Mary Jo) Wallis of Bruce, WI; one sister, Ruth Skelton of Harrisonville, MO; and one brother, Ralph Wallis of Sandwich; and two grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Robert, Merle and Ivan; and his son, Dennis.
Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 3:00 PM at the Beverage Family Funeral Home, Sandwich. Interment to follow at the Pratt Oak Lawn Cemetery, Sandwich.
