Clois L. "Billy" Baker, 86, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollywood Road Community Church with Dr. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Sudan Cemetery with Benny Baker officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Billy was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Chillicothe to O.O. and Mae Walser Baker. He graduated from Sudan High School. He married Charlsie Lucile Roark on Aug. 15, 1950, in Sudan. He began as a farmer in Sudan then worked for Whitmire Feed Pen Service. Later, he went into business for himself in 1968, in Spearman as Double C Feed Pen Service. He sold the business in 2003. He also owned Spearman Farm & Auto. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Sudan and attended Hollywood Road Community Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammie Burch and husband Terry; a granddaughter, Leah Torrez; two great-grandsons, Mason Torrez and Brandon Baker; and two brothers, Dexter and Calvin Baker.

Survivors include his wife, Charlsie Roark Baker of the home; two sons, Dennis G. Baker and wife Rosa of Spearman and Reagan Baker and wife Lisa of Sudan; a daughter, Cassie Brown and husband Joe of Amarillo; a sister, Mildred "Peewee" Lance of Sudan; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation, to benefit the patients of Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106; or Hollywood Road Community Church, 9711 Farm to Market road 2186, Amarillo, TX 79119.
