Mrs. J. C. Knight Dies Here Sunday
Mrs. J. G. Knipht, 89. died early Sunday morning at the home of her son R. E. Knight, 126 Ford Avenue. She had been ill for several montns.
She was a member of the Methodist church. A native of Rankin county, she had lived in Jackson for the last 32 years.
Survivors include three sons, R. E. Knight, of Jackson, M. B. Knight, of Memphis, and J. J. Knight of Delhi, La.; three daughters, Mrs. L. C. Ellis, Mrs. A. K. Griffith. and Mrs. C. Bernard Lowe, all of Jackson; one sister, Mrs J. M. Hartfield. 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel, with Dr. W. B. Selah and Dr. W. Douglas Hudgins, officiating. Interment will be In Cedarlawn cemetery.
Pallbearers will be J. W. Combs, Jr.. J. M. Griffith, Jack C. Ellis. Curry Knight, J. G. Pittman, and Osborne Driscoll.

Selena Ella Bland Knight was the daughter of William and Selena (Cater) Bland. In 1881 Ella married John Garrett Knight in Rankin County, Mississippi.
They had eight children:
